Kala Ghoda festival is India's largest multicultural festival which commences on the first Saturday of February every year and closes on the second Sunday. From its inception in 1999, the festival has grown manifold in terms of popularity, creativity and innovation.
It is organized by the Kala Ghoda Association which work towards preserving the heritage and art of South Mumbai.
Here are the 5 things to do @ Kala Ghoda Festival
1. Never visit the fest on the first or last day as it will be hell crowded and you won't even get space
to click those out of the world selfies without which your visit will be marked incomplete.
2. There are lot of workshops, sessions, concerts, performances and plays scheduled for the 9
days of the fest which are all free of cost so read the schedule carefully and register for the
events in advance as there are limited seats.
3. Don't forget to treat your taste buds with the exquisite variety of yummy dishes available at the
food joints and parlous spread across the fest area.
4. There is plethora of creativity and innovation spread around especially at the stalls, so do check
them out. From antique shops to tees and cards with witty quotes, you will get them all.
5. If you are not a professional photographer who is going to visit Kala Ghoda just for the shoot,
don't go alone. It is a fest where you will enjoy the most when you are going with your favorite
people.
This place is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and the decoration is spectacular. Environment was transparent and resonant and warm and immediate. I loved the Los Angeles venues and my experience here was very exciting.
